With a primary focus4> Accountability Statement · Support develop and implement robust sourcing strategies ensuring that the supply base has the capability and capacity to meet all current and future business requirements · Lead the negotiation of supplier prices including annual price reductions using appropriate negotiation techniques, e-commerce, supplier conditioning and contracting · Prepare business cases for in support of sourcing/re-sourcing decisions including substantive financial analysis and contract review · Identify and liase with key internal stakeholders to secure their input, approval and necessary resource contributions in support of sourcing strategies · Conduct research and analysis which develops corporate knowledge of commodities, the supply market in region, capability benchmarking, supplier finances, competitor activity, manufacturing and product technology · To work within Integrated Programme Teams to lead the introduction of new or re-sourced products (or services) into suppliers, ensuring that the cost, lead time and required process capability are achieved. · Work with operations and logistics to design supply chains which optimise total costs for Rolls-Royce · Develop and improve supplier capability, and identify opportunities to recommend the deployment of central purchasing improvement resources to secure business benefits · Develop and manage supplier relationships in the interests of Rolls-Royce, including the recommendation of suppliers for ion/deletion for the assigned commodity Person Specification · Bachelor degree or above in aerospace/mechanical engineering · Five or more years working experience in commodity purchase environment prefer with aerospace, energy and automotive experience. · General machining, fabrication, welding, casting, forging commodity and raw material purchase experience will be an advantage. · Fluent in English, both spoken and written. · Effective teamwork and communication skills. · The post involves the requirement to be located in Shanghai, but applicants must be willing to travel to different locations domestically and abroad as dictated by business demands · Membership of CIPS or NAPM CPM certification will be an advantage.
