With a primary focus4>Job Purpose The Manufacturing Engineering (ME) introduces and proves new capability and capital equipment for the plant. They create, implement, monitor and control the technical package, specifying the method of manufacture/assembly, including tooling and fixtures, NC/CNC programs, Coordinate Measuring Machines and inspection / test equipment. They create, implement, monitor and control the process to inspect/test and sentence parts and finished product. They support the Production Manager in assessing improvement opportunities and facilitate the continuous improvement cycle to achieve performance targets. They coach and educate team members in continuous improvement tools and techniques including Rolls-Royce Production System (RRPS) and Process Excellence The Manufacturing Engineer act as Technical Authority for the plant. They integrate all ME processes within the plant, buying off new technologies and new part technical packages on behalf of the plant, and provide day-to-day support for production and Continuous Improvement
